Cannabis Companies Dropped From Denver Fair

Marijuana companies apparently aren’t welcome at the Denver County Fair this year.

The fair’s organizers have decided to prohibit marijuana companies from exhibiting this time around following an incident last year involving attendees who were unknowingly served infused candies at the event’s “Pot Pavilion.”

Several individuals filed suit, and the case was eventually settled out of court.

Organizers said the incident had nothing to do with the decision to drop cannabis companies. Rather, they said marijuana vendors reported slow sales last time around, according to the Associated Press.

One organizer told the AP that Denver has so many cannabis-related festivals that marijuana has “become kind of old hat.”
