A new survey conducted in February has found that a record high number of Americans now support full legalization of cannabis.
A whopping 61% of respondents agreed with the statement that “the use of marijuana should be made legal,” according to the poll, which was conducted by the Associated Press and the University of Chicago.
Still, the results bode well for the quickly-growing cannabis industry. The last time similar numbers were found was in a Gallup survey last October, the Washington Post noted, in which 58% of Americans said they support legalization.
That means support for marijuana, and by extension at least the medical cannabis industry, is slowly increasing across the nation.
