Snoop Dogg keeps finding new cannabis-related business ventures, and now, the longtime marijuana enthusiast has forged a partnership with Canadian MMJ cultivator Tweed.
Under the three-year deal, the Ontario-based growing company will receive exclusive rights to use content and brands owned by Snoop’s company LBC Holdings, according to CBC News. Snoop will receive an undisclosed amount of cash and stock.
The partners can extend the deal for two years after the first term. Mark Zekulin, Tweed’s President, said in the statement that more details of the deal would be disclosed later.
Tweed is a subsidiary of Canopy Growth Corporation, which was formed when it merged with another Canadian grower, Bedrocan, last year.
Last year, Snoop started a cannabis-centric venture capital fund called Casa Verde Capital, launched a marijuana focused website dubbed Merry Jane, and released his own marijuana brand, Leafs by Snoop.
