Whoopi Goldberg expands medical marijuana line to Colorado

Comedian Whoopi Goldberg and her cannabis business partner, Maya Elisabeth, have already made a splash in California with their line of infused products intended to treat menstrual cramps. And now, the company is expanding into Colorado.

The next step for the company?

“World domination,” Goldberg joked during an interview with Marijuana Business Daily.

She mentioned Oregon, Nevada and Massachusetts as potential expansion markets for the company.

Since Whoopi & Maya launched last year in about 25 dispensaries in California, the brand’s footprint has skyrocketed and is now available in more than 300 storefronts.

The company announced this week it has struck a deal with RMZ Colorado, a licensed Colorado infused products maker, which will be manufacturing Whoopi & Maya products for distribution.

Beginning Nov. 15, the Whoopi & Maya product line will be available from eight different Colorado retailers in a total of nine locations, according to a press release.
