The Department of Taxation regulates the cultivation, manufacturing, testing, transporting and selling of marijuana. Recently finalized requirements pertain to record-keeping, tracking, packaging, labeling, security, inventory controls and zoning, among other things. Marijuana business owners will also be subject to background checks before a license is granted.
