Additionally, there is lag time between the research for this report and its publication. Most information in this chapter is current as of January 2020. Important: • Sales estimates are for dispensaries/retail stores only and do not include private transactions between caregivers and patients, wholesale transactions, illegal market activity or delivery-only services. • Tax collections from the marijuana industry are reported only in states that provide such data. No estimates were made for states that do not disclose tax collections from the industry. • The weighted average price per pound of wholesale cannabis is current as of May 26, 2019. Data is provided by Cannabis Benchmarks and reported only in states where the information is available. Prices are reported at the state level, meaning no distinctions between medical and recreational wholesale cannabis prices are made in markets that have active medical and adult-use industries. More information on our methodology can be found in the appendix. The following two pages feature charts highlighting some of the new data found in this chapter.
