Qualifying medical conditions Cancer, glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, ALS, Tourette syndrome, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, PTSD, severe arthritis, fibromyalgia, Alzheimer’s disease, cachexia or wasting syndrome, peripheral neuropathy, intractable pain which has not respondened to ordinary medications, treatment or surgical measures for more than six (6) months, severe nausea, seizures including those characteristic of epilepsy, severe and persistent muscle spasms including without limitation those characteristic of MS, and any other medical treatment or its condition approved by the Department of Health. Patients suffering from medical conditions may petition the department for consideration. Business regulations Heavy. Arkansas’ MMJ program is heavily regulated, with requirements regarding plant counts, lab testing, dosing standards, labeling, inventory, recordkeeping, inspections, and more. The rules also include a provision that dispensaries must staff a “pharmacist consultant" who would be available by phone to the dispensary and patients during business hours.
