A Canadian company is recalling three batches of medical marijuana because they may contain high levels of bacteria, Health Canada said.

Tilray, a British Columbia-based medical marijuana grower and seller, voluntarily recalled its sativa, hybrid and indica house blends after Health Canada inspectors found that the batches tested above compliance standards for bacteria.

No reports of adverse reactions to the strains have been reported, and Tilray is contacting those who bought from the affected strains.

The recall is the second in Canada in just over a month. Peace Natural Project Inc. last month recalled a batch of MMJ after a third party inspector determined its THC level was well above what the company had stated. In that case, no adverse reactions were reported.

At the time of that recall, Health Canada said it had issued four marijuana recalls for reasons including mold and “questionable production practices.”
