The founder of Mary’s Medicinals, a Colorado medical marijuana company that produces infused products, has sued competitor RX Green, claiming its owner used underhanded tricks to put her out of business.

Nicole Smith, founder and president of Mary’s Medicinals, alleges in a lawsuit in Denver District Court that RX Green owner Joshua Meacham began last August trying to get a number of customers to stop purchasing from her company, the Denver Post reported.

The suit alleges that Meacham even used email aliases in an attempt to undermine Mary’s Medicinals, the Denver Post reported.

Smith alleges in the suit that Meacham used the aliases to complain to Mary’s about negative customer experiences, file complaints with regulators, and spread negative messages about the company to the broader cannabis community, according to the Post.

The lawsuit contends that due to Meacham’s efforts, Mary’s lost business, was the target of unfounded inspections, and took an undeserved hit to its reputation.

Meacham did not respond to requests for comment from the Post.
