The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday they seized 44 website domains offering to sell illegal vaping cartridges containing THC and other adulterated substances.

Some of the online networks advertised THC vaping cartridges by brand names along with statements about THC levels, indicating the items for sale are considered a controlled substance under federal law, according to the DEA.

Many of the websites were scams, charging for the products but not delivering them.
