New Maryland Cannabis Commissioner The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission has a new director, Joy Strand , a health-care industry veteran who most recently served as CEO of Crisfield-based McCready Health. In that role, she led a health organization that included a hospital and several other health-care services. Strand replaces Patrick Jame- son , a law enforcement veteran, who resigned in late 2017. Colorado Harvest Nets Retail Director Denver-based Colorado Harvest Company, a vertically integrated can- nabis business with three dispensa- ries, hired Laurie Bosch as director of retail sales. Bosch has 25 years of retail management experience and has planned and executed marketing strategies for household brand names. Bosch most recently was district director for 16 Eddie Bauer stores in Colorado and New Mexico, a role in which she led 60 managers and more than 200 employees. She was also the Denver district manager for Williams-Sonoma, with management respon- sibility for 11 stores and more than 300 employees in three markets with annual sales exceeding $34 million. Bosch’s task: Create a more rewarding employee work environment that will result in better shopping experi- ences for customers. She has also hired several new managers and budtenders.
