Canopy Inks Research Agreement With Australian State Ontario-based Canopy Growth and the government of the Australian state of Victoria signed a memorandum of understanding to further develop research and techni- cal capabilities in the production of medical cannabis in Australia. The work will focus on medical applications for cannabis genetics, strain development, cultivation and processing. As part of the agreement, stabilized canna- bis genetics from Canopy Growth’s Canadian operations have already been imported into the country and are growing in Victoria. Aphria Unloads Shares of Arizona Grower Hoping to keep the Toronto Stock Exchange at bay, a fed- erally licensed cannabis grower in Ontario is selling its shares in an Arizona cannabis company for $16.2 (CA$20 million). Ontario-based Aphria said it would sell its shares in Copperstate Farms , a medical marijuana grower in Snowflake, Arizona, to Liberty Health Sciences , a licensed MMJ cultivator in Alachua, Florida. The move follows a statement from TMX Group Limited, which operates the TSE, that it might delist stocks of mari- juana companies with operations in the United States. Aphria holds a minority stake in Liberty Health Sciences.
