André Jérôme again. This time, Hodas joins General Cannabis Corp. as chief operating officer. In his new role, Hodas will be responsible for identifying investment opportunities and driving efficiency across the Denver holding company’s existing business lines. Aurora Hires Three New Execs Aurora Cannabis, a federally licensed cannabis cultivator in Vancouver, Brit- ish Columbia, made three new executive appointments. The company appointed André Jérôme as senior vice president, business integra- tion, a newly created post where he will help integrate acquisitions and identify potential synergies across existing subsidiaries and joint venture partners. Jérôme previously served as CEO of Quebec-based H2 Biopharma, which is applying for a federal cannabis production license. Aurora acquired H2 Biopharma in November 2017. Before cannabis, Jérôme spent over two decades in the telecom industry, holding various senior executive positions in corporate affairs. Aurora also appointed Shane Morris as vice president of product development and regulatory affairs, a newly created role responsible for the development and market introduction of new cannabis products. He will also provide regula- tory guidance on new cannabis products. Morris was previously part of the senior leadership team at Hydropothecary, a Quebec-based licensed producer. Before cannabis, Morris held senior posi- tions at the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, Public Health Agency of Canada and Natural Resources Canada. Aurora also appointed Kelly Narine as vice president of research. Narine will lead Aurora’s research innovation and research partner- ship portfolios, focusing on human health outcomes, product safety, plant biotechnology and early product development and testing.
