Bloom Hits Nevada Bloom Farms , an Oakland, California- based manufacturer and distributor of cannabis products, expanded its product line of vape pen sets and refill cartridges to Nevada, where they are available through at least nine retailers in the state. The business hopes to expand into other states this year. AmeriCann Research Partnership AmeriCann , a Denver-based agricultural technology company, is partnering with Cannabis Community Care and Research Network (C3RN), a Massachusetts public benefit corporation focused on cannabis research and technology. C3RN collaborates with leading academic insti- tutions, data scientists, the marijuana industry and health- care providers to conduct rigorous cannabis research stud- ies and implement evidence-based findings into practice. AmeriCann, through its preferred partner, Bask , will design and conduct research studies with C3RN and its academic and health-care partners to better understand the thera- peutic benefits of cannabis. Ancillary Merger Colorado-based Helix TCS , which specializes in marijuana security services and banking consulting, closed its acquisi- tion of Florida-based BioTrackTHC , a major seed-to-sale tracking firm. The CEOs of each company will retain their posts. The two companies combined for about $17 million in revenue, according to Helix. Denver Dab Partners with Infused Business Las Vegas-based Infused MFG , a manufacturer of CBD skin cream and body lotions, signed a 12-month licensing agreement with Denver Dab Co. Under the agreement, Denver Dab will manufacture and distribute Infused’s CBD and hemp products on an exclusive basis to retail cannabis dispensaries in Colorado. Infused, a subsidiary of Friday Night Inc. , a Nevada cannabis and hemp firm, retains the right to sell its products directly to general retail stores in that state. Oil Company Strikes Two Agreements BAS Research , a licensed cannabis manufacturing company in California that produces cannabis oils and offers extraction services, entered into an exclusive California-wide manufacturing agreement for rights to all product lines of Dr. Raw Organics , a maker of cannabis- infused edibles, concentrates and topicals. BAS Research will continue production of Dr. Raw’s full product lines. BAS also entered into a licensing agreement with James Henry SF , a lifestyle licensing brand in San Francisco that specializes in THC and CBD products. MJ Bioscience Firm Gets DEA Research Permission Pascal Biosciences , a drug dis- covery and development company focused on cancer treatment, has been licensed by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration to conduct research and development on cannabinoids. Pas- cal, with offices in Seattle and Vancouver, British Columbia, is one of only a few organizations with a Schedule 1 researcher license in the United States that is not a university. Pascal also renewed a collaboration with the University of British Columbia, allowing Pascal founder Dr. Wilfred Jeffer- ies and his team to conduct research at the school's labs. LED Light Company Goes International Munich-based Osram , an inter- national lighting manufacturer that trades as OSR on the European exchanges, acquired Fluence Bioengineering , an Austin, Texas-based manu- facturer of LED-based lighting systems. The purchase price was not disclosed.
