Harvest One Gets New CEO Harvest One, a diversified cannabis company in Van- couver, British Columbia, appointed Grant Froese as its CEO. The company also added him to its board. Froese joins Harvest One after a 38-year career with Cana- dian food retailer Loblaw Cos., where he most recently served as COO. At Loblaw, Froese led operations and merchandising at all levels and had oversight of informa- tion technology, supply chain, digital/e-commerce busi- nesses and marketing. Harvest One also hired Andrew Kain as COO and gen- eral counsel. Most recently, Kain founded and served as president of Windular Research and Technologies, a pri- vately held Ontario company providing renewable energy systems, consulting and advisory services to the global telecommunications industry. Green Thumb CEO Steps Down Peter Kadens , one of the more notable names in the U.S. cannabis industry, has stepped down as CEO of multistate medical marijuana com- pany Green Thumb Industries. The 40-year old entrepreneur will stay with Chicago-based GTI as a board member. Kadens also is chairman of StreetWise, a nonprofit that supports the homeless, and CEO of Purpose Investors, a firm that invests in busi- nesses that make social impacts.
