Green Thumb Inks $60 Million New York Deal Chicago-based Green Thumb Industries announced it completed its $59.6 million cash-and-stock acquisition of Fiorello Pharmaceuticals , one of 10 companies approved to operate a medical cannabis company in New York. Green Thumb purchased New York City-based Fiorello in a transaction involving $46 million in cash and 1.7 million shares. Fiorello’s assets include a manufacturing and cultivation facility in Schenectady County, plus retail stores in Manhattan, Rochester and Halfmoon as well as Nassau County. LeafLink Raises $35 Million Cannabis inventory and ordering platform LeafLink raised $35 million in funding, with the investment led by Thrive Capital Management . The investment company was founded by Josh Kushner, brother of Jared Kushner, son-in-law and adviser to President Donald Trump. LeafLink has now reportedly raised a total of $51 million to expand LeafLink Financial, which offers payment services to the cannabis industry. Kush Credit California-based KushCo Holdings , a cannabis company specializing in ancillary products such as packaging, closed on a $50 million credit facility that will be used for working capital and potential acquisitions. The transaction consists of a $35 million revolving line of credit that can be increased by $15 million, subject to certain terms, according to the company. The lender is Chicago- based Monroe Capital , a private credit asset management firm. Since June 2018, KushCo has raised a total of $70 million in stock fundings. The company recently applied to be listed on the Nasdaq Composite. Headset Reaches Data Deal With Pax Seattle-based Headset , a provider of data and analytics to the cannabis industry, entered into a partnership with Pax Labs , a consumer technology brand that designs and develops vaporizers. The relationship is expected to provide real-time insights that enable San Francisco-based Pax and its partners to make better business decisions.
