Purple Haze Properties, a company run by the younger brother of rock legend Jimi Hendrix, is increasing its presence in the cannabis industry with several new products.
The company revealed on Monday a trio of deals designed to capitalize on Hendrix’s ongoing fame, including packages of pre-rolled joints, a line of disposable cannabis vaporizers and new Zippo lighters featuring Hendrix’s name and likeness.
The deals are all separate – with different manufacturers and distributors – and build on Purple Haze Properties’ recent entry into California’s medical cannabis industry with Jimi’s Medicated Macaroons, according to LA Biz.
The pre-rolled joints will be produced by California’s Finest, and the vaporizers will be made by the Dutch company E-Njoint Vaporizers, according to a press release.
The vaporizer, which can be used with flower, wax or oils, will be available throughout the United States in January, but the pre-rolled joints and macaroons will only be available in California to begin with.
Hendrix is one of several celebrities – both living and dead – who are becoming standard names in the cannabis industry, along with Snoop Dogg, Willie Nelson, Tommy Chong and the estate of Bob Marley.
