Marijuana Business Media Bolsters Staff; New Hires From Wall Street Journal, Private Equity

Marijuana Business Media has expanded its staff in recent months, bringing on veteran reporters, marketing pros and other key employees.

Led by George Jage  – who previously founded World Tea News and joined Marijuana Business Media as president in June of this year – the team now includes a former Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg reporter as well as specialists in private equity research and political journalism.

Marijuana Business Media is the parent company of Marijuana Business Daily and Marijuana Business Magazine. It also runs the National Marijuana Business Conference & Expo and publishes the Marijuana Business Factbook.

Recent hires include:

– Features reporter Tony Dreibus, who writes in-depth stories for Marijuana Business Magazine and Marijuana Business Daily. Previously, he covered agriculture and commodities for the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg.

– Research editor Jennifer Mann, who is spearheading the Marijuana Business Factbook. Most recently, she worked as an investment research analyst for a private equity firm. Mann also has decades of business reporting experience covering both publicly traded and private corporations.

– Reporter John Schroyer, who covers breaking news and trends for Marijuana Business Daily and Marijuana Business Magazine. Schroyer, a political reporting specialist, joined the team from the Colorado Springs Gazette.

– Marketing and public relations specialist Kendra Branch-Brett, a former Energy Central marketing executive. Among other responsibilities, she will oversee the Marijuana Industry Directory.
