A New Brunswick government-owned corporation has issued a call for proposals for 15 retail spaces across the province to sell adult-use cannabis.
A spokesperson for the Finance Ministry declined to confirm to Marijuana Business Daily whether the tender is open to the private sector.
In September, the province announced that a Crown corporation would oversee the distribution of recreational marijuana, but the government entity would not run retail operations.
The 15 locations should be “substantially completed” by May 31, 2018, the tender states.
They would be located in: Greater Moncton; Fredericton; Oromocto; Greater Saint John; Bathurst; Edmundston; Sackville; Shediac; Miramichi; Sussex; St. Stephen; Richibucto; Tracadie; Perth-Andover; and the Campbellton area.
