Yet another Nevada dispensary that was hoping to open has been forced to wait – and others could be delayed again too.

Silver State Relief was scheduled to begin serving customers in a suburb of Reno on Monday, which would have made it the first dispensary in the state to open its doors.

But it had to hold off because of last-minute regulatory issues, according to a local ABC affiliate.

The state’s agriculture department released a list earlier this month of 40 pesticides that are allowed for use in MMJ cultivation, and on Monday it added 14 more.

Nevada testing labs, however, are now waiting for the state Department of Public and Behavioral Health to announce tolerance levels for the approved pesticides. Sliver State Relief – and possibly other dispensaries hoping to open – has to wait until those guidelines are revealed so testing labs can comply with the new regulations, the TV station reported.

The delay comes roughly three weeks after a Las Vegas dispensary that had been hoping to be the first to serve customers was also forced to reschedule its opening because of questions over how much MMJ it’s allowed to purchase directly from home growers.
