The bulk of investors ― 60% ― are earning 1% to 50% returns on investment, with about one-third earning between 11% and 30%. The median return on investment of 25% is 10 percentage points lower than last year’s median of 35%. As markets mature, there is less potential for the high returns seen in the early days of the cannabis industry. Although these rates of return are higher than returns on mainstream investments or from interest-bearing savings accounts, the era of tripling or quadrupling investment money in cannabis may be coming to an end.
