Data is current as of June 15, 2019 Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed a bill into law that will establish a commission to study medical marijuana and then make recommendations to the Alabama Legislature about how to implement a medical cannabis program. The bill was a result of a compromise between state lawmakers in the waning hours of the 2019 legislative session, after an attempt at MMJ legalization passed the state Senate but then hit a wall in a House committee. Arizona The Arizona Supreme Court handed the state’s medical cannabis industry a significant legal win by ruling that extracts—including concentrates, edibles and other infused products—are legal.
