Certain categories ― such as beverages and topicals ― are seeing strong year-over-year percentages sales growth, but this is due to the small magnitude of the sector. Tinctures and sublinguals, for example, saw 65% sales growth from 2017 to 2018, but in 2018 this category represented less than 3% of sales in Colorado and Washington state. Although the sector is experiencing rapid year-over- year percentage growth, it remains minor relative to others.
