Canadian operator Aurora Cannabis on Wednesday denied reports that it had agreed to acquire New Zealand-based MedLeaf Therapeutics.
According to a company news release, Aurora “has not entered into any such agreement, has had no discussions with MedLeaf Therapeutics with respect to any business combination transaction, and has not made any statement or filed any information pertaining to any such transaction.”
The erroneous story, initially reported by Investing.com, was picked up by multiple news outlets, including MJBizDaily.
MJBizDaily took down its version of the erroneous report immediately after being contacted by Edmonton, Alberta-based Aurora.
