The interstate expansion race continues in the cannabis industry, with the latest participant being California-based Bloom Farms, a longtime vape pen and cartridge maker.

The Oakland company has expanded into the Nevada market and is already selling product in nine different retail locations in Las Vegas, Reno, the Lake Tahoe area and Carson City, according to a news release.

Bloom isn’t stopping with Nevada. The company intends to enter “multiple legal cannabis markets,” according to the release, though this marks Bloom’s first move into a market outside California.

Its California connections may be serving Bloom well, however.

At least three of the Nevada retailers that are selling Bloom’s product line – MedMen, NuLeaf and Blum – are owned by companies that first launched in California. The other retailers carrying Bloom products include Acres Cannabis and Sierra Well.
