Marijuana content website Herb has raised $4.1 million in seed funding from a group of investors that includes Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana.

Herb – which focuses on how-to video content along with news articles and other information – has roughly 5.3 million unique viewers monthly and gets about 200 million video views per month, Tech Crunch reported.

According to the technology news outlet, Herb.co’s investors are:

  • Lerer Hippeau Ventures
  • Liquid 2 Ventures (led by Montana)
  • Slow Ventures
  • Buddy Media co-founder Michael Lazerow
  • Shiva Rajarama
  • Shopify CEO Tobi Lutke
  • Shopify COO Harley Finkelstein
  • Investor and adviser Adam Zeplain

According to Tech Crunch, Herb has plans to become a retail and delivery outlet for cannabis retailers and is making steps toward that goal by adding profiles of local dispensaries to the site.
