Although the price per gram of cannabis continued to drop in Connecticut, the state’s retailers sold $17.6 million worth of adult-use products in November.

That’s the second-best month since the state began recreational marijuana sales in January 2023, Connecticut Inside Investigator reported.

A record $18 million worth of adult-use products were sold this past August, according to Inside Investigator, citing data from Connecticut’s Department of Consumer Protection (DCP).

Recreational marijuana sales then fell in September to $16.6 million.

The price per gram of both recreational and medical cannabis dropped to $10.86 in November.

Recreational and medical marijuana prices have been declining in Connecticut since they reached $12.16 per gram in July, having peaked at $12.51 per gram in March, Hartford-based Inside Investigator noted.

As adult-use sales have increased, MMJ purchases have dropped, falling to $6.7 million in November.

The high-water mark for MMJ sales since Connecticut’s adult-use market launched came in March 2023 – $12.6 million.

Flower is the most-purchased product in the state, totaling about $266 million and accounting for 49% of sales since January 2023.
