Edibles Company Wana Expands Across State Lines

Yet another edibles provider is expanding beyond its home state in a bid to develop a national cannabis brand.

Colorado-based Wana Brands has partnered with a dispensary in Oregon and another in Nevada to bring its products to both states. The dispensaries will manufacture Wana’s product line and serve as wholesale distributors.

Wana plans to begin selling its edibles in Oregon and Nevada within the next six months.

The company is looking to expand internationally and into other states as well by “actively pursuing partnerships through licensing agreements,” a spokeswoman said in an email.

The firm isn’t limiting its expansion to new markets, however; it’s also bolstering its product line with extracts, concentrates, hash oil and CBD oils.

The company is just the latest in a string of edibles manufacturers across the western U.S. that have a presence in more than a single state, including Mary’s Medicinals, Dixie Brands, Bhang Chocolates, EdiPure and G FarmaLabs.
