Etain’s NY medical marijuana processing facility on hold; state financing issue cited

Etain is delaying by a year its plan to build a medical marijuana processing plant in upstate New York after being rejected for state-backed financing due to its connection with the cannabis industry, The Post-Star in Glen Falls reported.

The female-owned company, one of the state’s 10 MMJ operators, instead is turning to private bank financing and its own equity, a company official told the newspaper.
