Maryland’s medical marijuana industry brought in $96.3 million during its first year of operation.

MMJ sales began in December 2017, and there are currently nearly 52,000 patients, according to The Baltimore Sun.

The newspaper also reported between 250 and 350 people a day are applying to become certified by the state to buy medical cannabis.
