MI medical marijuana sales could benefit from quicker online patient approvals

Michigan’s medical cannabis dispensaries may get a bump in sales from a newly launched state system that allows patients to register online and then use their approval emails to immediately purchase cannabis.

The system, which went live on Wednesday, will let patients get MMJ “as quickly as possible,” broadcaster WXYZ Detroit reported.

The previous MMJ system took up to five weeks via traditional mail for patients to qualify and then begin making dispensary purchases.
