The Michigan agency responsible for developing medical marijuana industry rules on Thursday released more information about how hopeful business licensees can obtain a state permit for the upcoming regulated MMJ market.
The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) announced that starting Dec. 15 it will begin accepting license applications, and the process will include extensive screening for applicants.
Also, to pass the first pre-qualification phase, applicants will have to submit names and financial information for every individual with an ownership stake in the business.
Full license qualification will require more paperwork, including: approval from whatever municipality the business applicant intends to locate in, floor plan layouts, proof of insurance, bond, plans for recordkeeping, security, staffing, inventory, and more.
