Oregon regulators cited seven cannabis businesses for a variety of infractions, such as failing to comply with the state traceability system and neglecting to keep proper surveillance records.
According to Oregon Cannabis Connection, the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) imposed penalties on the following businesses:
- Lunchbox Alchemy will pay a $1,485 fine or have its recreational marijuana processor license suspended for nine days. The violation was for failing to record inventory in Oregon’s seed-to-sale program operated by Metrc.
- Sensible Cannabis Co. will pay a $6,105 fine or have its recreational marijuana retailer license suspended for 37 days. The business was cited for failing to keep surveillance recordings for a minimum of 90 days as well as leaving an edible and jars of flower unsecured on a retail counter.
- Pendleton Cannabis Co. will pay a $2,970 fine or have its recreational marijuana retail license suspended for 18 days. The violation was for failing to secure marijuana items in a safe or vault as well as improperly entering inventory into the Metrc tracking system.
- Magic Castle will pay a $6,105 fine or have its recreational marijuana retailer license suspended for 37 days. The company was cited for failing to keep surveillance recordings for a minimum of 90 days as well as failing to properly secure all marijuana items in a safe or a vault.
- 99 North will pay an $8,580 fine or have its recreational marijuana producer license suspended for 52 days. The company was cited for six violations, including improperly entering inventory into the Metrc tracking system as well as having multiple cultivation batches of more than 100 plants that were less than 8 inches tall.
- Oregrown will pay a $4,950 fine or have its license suspended for 76 days as well as have its recreational marijuana processor license suspended for 46 days. The company was cited for three violations, including permitting hemp or a product derived from hemp that contains cannabinoids onto its premises. The second and third violations were for making a false statement or representation to the OLCC.
- Rogue Coast Growers will pay a $9,750 fine or have its recreational marijuana producer license suspended for 58 days. The company was cited for five violations, including failing to keep surveillance recordings for a minimum of 90 days as well as making physical changes to the business that weren’t in the original plans approved by the OLCC.
