Hocking College in southern Ohio became the second cannabis testing laboratory in the state to begin taking medical marijuana product for analysis.

A lack of operational labs has been a big concern to Ohio’s marijuana businesses because state law requires that cannabis be tested for potency and purity before sales at dispensaries can begin.

Regulators have licensed five labs.

Hocking expected to receive its first test samples for testing on Jan. 9, according to Athens public TV station WOUB.
