New regulations for packaging and labeling infused marijuana edibles products in Washington favor the state’s cannabis companies.

The revised rules, recently approved by the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board, extend from Jan. 1 until July 1 the deadline for processors and producers create compliant packaging, among other changes, The Spokesman Review reported

The new rules resolve some concerns raised by an announcement almost a year ago that the industry feared would result in many types of cannabis-infused candy being removed from store shelves.
