By submitting content, you (“Contributor”) agree to the following terms with MJBiz, a division of Emerald X, LLC (“Publisher”). As an independent contractor, not an employee, the Contributor will provide original editorial work of no more than 900 words about the agreed-upon topic, along with any reasonable revisions requested by the Publisher. The Contributor warrants that all submitted material is original or that the necessary rights have been obtained, and that the work does not defame or infringe upon the rights of any third party. The Contributor agrees to indemnify and hold the Publisher harmless from any claims arising from a breach of these warranties. The Contributor grants the Publisher first, non-exclusive rights to use the work, and permission to repurpose it in full with proper attribution. The Publisher reserves the right to accept, reject, or edit any material at its discretion. The Contributor also grants the Publisher a non-exclusive right to use their name, likeness, and biographical information for promotional purposes related to the work. This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and is effective as of the date of submission.

In addition to the editorial contribution terms above, if the Contributor submits any photographs, graphics, or other visual materials in connection with the work, the following Image Use Licensing Agreement applies (Abridged):

By providing images (“Images”), the Contributor grants MJBiz/Emerald X, LLC a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, store, and archive the Images for publication and related promotional purposes. The Contributor warrants they have the rights to grant this license and agrees to indemnify the Publisher against any third-party claims arising from authorized use. Images may not be sublicensed or sold to third parties. This license is governed by Delaware law.
