Potential sales-boosting marijuana laws go into effect in Colorado this week that will permit home delivery of medical marijuana and on-site cannabis consumption, contingent on local approvals.
In moves that could improve Colorado’s marijuana business climate:
- Starting Jan. 1, licenses can be issued for “marijuana hospitality establishments” such as cannabis cafes, dispensary tasting rooms, marijuana bus tours and designated areas of hotels.
- Starting Jan. 2, permits can be issued for medical marijuana delivery, with retail cannabis distribution slated to begin in 2021.
Another notable rule change in Colorado: Vitamin E acetate, polyethylene glycol (and medium chain triglycerides are prohibited in the manufacture of marijuana concentrate or products intended for vaporization.
