The Iowa Senate voted 40-7 to advance a bill that would expand the state’s medical cannabis market by eliminating the 3% THC potency cap for products and allow nurse practitioners and physician assistants to recommend MMJ, Iowa Public Radio reported.

The House approved the bill last month. Now, it goes to Gov. Kim Reynolds for her signature.
