Licensed medical cannabis businesses in the Detroit metro area say illicit delivery services are severely cutting into their bottom lines.

One licensed Michigan firm has identified nearly four dozen such delivery businesses operating illegally in the region, according to The Detroit News.

The illicit services, meanwhile, counter they are filling a necessary gap as a stricter permitting system has been slow to become fully operational.
